meshing circle

I have to mesh a circular face with denser mesh towards the center. Is there any possible way to do this?

I am using gambit 2.2. And actually I want to mesh a cylinder with thicker mesh near the axis, so for that I need to mesh the faces first with thicker mesh near the center.
