Default Flow around a rolling tanker or rolling ship (DOF)

Hi,

On our way towards 6DOF, we want to look first at each DOF to understand their individual contribution.

When a ship is "rolling" vortices are formed at the bow of the hull. If the ship is also moving forward the vortices are transported downstream. With Comet it is possible to do 1 or 2 simulations for academic purposes using a lot of complex tuning but it failed for the industrial stage (not adequate).

The objective would be to study each DOF (roll, yaw, pitch, etc...) at several different frequencies for a given hull shape in about a month.

Which code would you use for this type of simulation? any suggestion?

The list of codes is quite long:

Thank you
