Hi, im currently doing my university dissertation using CFD for a spinning football. However im struggling to create the spinning case for both 2-D and 3-D simulations.
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or even have a useful tutorial on how to incorporate spin into a sphere for Fluent. Thanks |

Maybe you could try moving wall boundary condition on surface. I'm not sure how well it would work on spheres. It might also be possible to do it by defining rotation and sliding mesh.

As for the meshing what method would work best for the spinning sphere. Inflation; Refinement, Spheres of influence etc? Thanks
