I have exported the .csv file with the nodes number and other parameters from the export command in the file menu. However I want the file which also mentions the Element ID (number) infront of the Node number. So, it is possible in CFX? because I need to extract the data of Node numbers, Element number associated with the Node and parameters.

To get the node numbers you just select the Node Numbers option on the export tab.
Have a look on the other options available on the export tab but I do not think they will help you. I do not think you can get element numbers easily. You will probably need to use some user fortran to get this. |

Mr. Horrocks thanks very much for reply. Yeah you are correct there is no option to get the details of element ID. However I found the answer to my question in CFX reference guide. In section 3: Mesh and Result export API, in that sample code is given explaining how to get the required data. so, I think I need to understand and write code as per my requirement.
however thanks a lot. |
