Hi there,
I'm very new to CFD modelling, but have some reasonable experience in 2D. It there anyone out there using CFD freeware for hydraulic structures such as bridges, culverts, spillways, etc? Does any one know of some good freeware packages for mesh generation, simulation, and post processing/viewing results - more for the water line in civil engineering? There's so much about it's hard to know where to start. Regards, Paul. |

Hi
You can try SSIIM (Sediment simulation in intakes with multiblock) software. It is a freeware and can be downloaded from NTNU website Norway. The software has the capability to model sediments as well as turbulent hydraulics. |
