Optimum number of parcels

I'm using the commercial code STAR-CD to model the fuel injection in internal combustion engines and I'm estimating the influence of the number of parcels injected in numerical results. I'm trying to find the optimum number of parcels injected as a function of total fuel mass injected. Can anyone help me in finding this number? Thanks to everyone. Enrico

As my personal point of view, there is no optimum number. As many as possible till you are satisfied with your result, because it is only approximation even though you use very big number.
