Hi, Everybody
In Flunet, the calculations are performed basing on gauge pressure. Then, for incompressible fluid (for which constant density is set by user), the density is not calculated by using pressure. So, operating pressure is not important for single phase (incompressible) flow as long as Mach number is not very low. Do you think, when we model cavitation in Fluent, the operating pressure becomes important to be considered although the liquid is imcompressible because it has to compare local static (absolute) pressure to vapor pressure (absolute) to simulate cavitation phenomenon. Setting operating pressure zero and setting operating pressure 1 atm will results in very different result of cavitation. In Fluent tutorial for cavitation modeling, the operating pressure is set as zero. But there is no additional explanation about it. Can someone help me to explain it? Thank you so much. |

This is also my question, does any body have an opinion or reference about this?
Thanx alot |
