simulate the movement of boats -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Francesco B. Guest Posts: n/a	Hi all, I would like to simulate the movement of boats-like objects using OpenFoam, is it possible? Of course I think the answer is positive, but i can't find anything on the net. The problem is quite complex because it could be defined as liquid-solid-gas case with free surface. Can someone give me a hint of how to solve it using OpenFOAM? Anyone knows if there is a different software (Fluent maybe?) which could solve this problem? Thank you in advance
