Dear Jonas,
I have found that the number of jobs posted in the CFD jobs database remains pretty much constant at any given point of time, be it jobs in the industry or postdoc positions. Is there any particular reason for this? Other colleagues are welcome to put forth their reasons!!! Regards |

No reason. It seems as if the rate of new jobs submitted is fairly constant if you integrate it over a few months. Old jobs (more than 3+1 months) are automatically removed so there is always the same "age" distribution of old and new jobs in the database. The number of jobs has grown slowly but steadily though, during 1999 it has always been more than 100 jobs advertised, whereas in 1998 there were only a few months with more than 100 jobs.
