water jacket optimization using cfd.

Dear friends,

I have to do cfd analysis of water jackets used in automotive field. Well, Water jacket contains block, head and gaskets inbetween them. I have to optimize water jackets by changing gasket positions in various ways. Can anybody suggest which are the criterias to do this ? As far as I know, I have to concentrate on uniform cooling, uniform velocity distributions and minimum pressure drop. Any suggestions are most welcome. Further, I wud like to have some links, papers, if anybody have.
