Hello Everybody,

I am working on my Masters thesis for which i need to perform CDF to study wake/vorticity characteristics and also model a wind farm to study the combined effect of the wake. I am a beginner when it comes to CFD and its software and very much interested in learning and developing the skill.

I would like to know the available software (pref freewares), tutorials or supplementary materials which could solve the problem. Kindly drop in your views and suggestions

From my initial research I found that OpenFoam and NREL SOWFA can do it? Do anyone have an idea / guidelines on the same. Do i need to integrate it together or OpenFoam is sufficient.

PS: I have a previous experience of using Ansys CFX with steady state analysis using Frozen rotor.
