I m coding finite element program to solve wall bounded k-ep turbulent problems. here is the question, do i have to calculate tangent velocity using wall function at the points in the log-region as boundary conditions for flow field solution? many papers shows only boundary conditions for TKE and epsilon, but nothing about velocity. what i think is that the flow field calculation takes place within all the place(viscous sub layer and log layer and defect layer), because wall function can affect eddy viscosity near wall and thus affect momenteum equation. eddy viscosity at wall is zero(N-S equation becomes Laminar.
