You might consider the SymLab Professional add-on (US$299.99/year with a 30 day free trial), which incorporates moving geometry (for your kite movement) and a transient panel method (air flow simulation). Currently the panel method can only predict lift for fully attached flows, which might be enough for you to get started.

First question that you have to answer is what air speeds are involved in this situation Low speeds I guess, so any incompressible solver will give you good results. Open source codes are available, but they requiere solid knowledge and understanding of the basics and fundamentals of fluie mechanics and numerical analysis Low cost CFD commercial programmes, this is just a misnomer

the wind speed range 10 to 25 real wind relative to the kite more like 0 to 60

That confirms my first guess, now considering the altitudes at which the kite will be flying you can check the standard atmosphere charts, then the flow regime will be in the low Mach number, M<0.3, and any incompressible solver will do a good job. An open source programme like openFlower (http://sourceforge.net/projects/openflower/) will do the job If you want to invest your dollars in a comercial programme try the russian product flowVision but again and as I posted before, you will need another programme to create the geometry (in this case Solid Works), the point in these so called "Low Cost" is that they do not come with their own geomtry generators, ok Good Luck and do not forget to post images of your new designs
