I know this has been asked around quite a bit, and the answers vary on who you ask.
A bit of background: our company is smallish (10 staff) we are a specialized refrigeration company looking to use a CFD package to develop new products and improve performance. The majority of simulations will be a closed box with an evaporator (unsure on the best way to simulate), fans. nearly all will be a steady state simulation. Looking at airflow around the box to ensure areas aren't stagnant or rising above a certain temperature. We have been quoted on Solidworks simulation Flow and ANSYS 15 CFD Professional, I would like to know how they compare (other than price) for our application. Thank you, Will. |
