I am looking for anyone who has experience with structured grid development using Ansys 11.0. I am working to develop a str. grid for a hull form with appendages to use with Fluent.
I am having trouble as the shape is quite complex and it is hard to carry block continuity, however when I make isolated cell splits, this also causes problems when I go to refine the grid. I am beginning to think that unstr. is the only solution. Appreciate any comments. |

You need to tell us about the application, and how complex the appendages are. Given enough time, it is nearly always better to go structured.
