kabirgph is on a distinguished road
What are the fundamentals of computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis? Is there a marked difference between the two and what would each primarily be used for?

CFD is a general term to take into account numerical methods for solving problems of fluid dynamics. FE is a numerical formulation that can be applied to solve the governing equation for fluids. In this sense, FE is a branch of CFD as well as FD, FV and so on..
