Hi,

I am doing a 2-D simulation of a rotating cylinder near a flat plate.
Boundary Conditions:
Inlet and outlet is just set to a static pressure of 0Pa. The rotating wall is set to have a velocity of 5rad/sec. All other boundaries are set to no-slip wall.

I attached the picture of the problem I am trying to solve with my boundary conditions. I would like to make sure my boundary conditions are correct because I am getting an error in CFX. The error description is below. I am thinking it is because I have a rotating wall attached to another wall (Wall2 and Wall3) and wanted someone to please check this for me.

I refined my mesh and was still getting the error below. I attached two pictures of my mesh. The error described that "nodes on a rotating surface might not lie on the surface of revolution" made me think my mesh was wrong. Looking at my up close picture of my mesh, I just wanted some feedback if this was okay.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The angle between the specified velocity and the element surface is
88.902 degrees at this face. This is considered an error because
it implies that the mesh is moving. The following are possible
reasons for the error message:
1. There is a setup error; for example, an incorrect axis of
rotation.
2. There may be a meshing problem; for example, the nodes on a
rotating surface might not lie on the surface of revolution.
3. The boundary is curved and the mesh is very coarse. In this
case, you may modify the tolerance by increasing the
expert parameter 'tangential vector tolerance wall'
| from its default of 20 degrees.
