Can anyone show me the internet web site where I could download an Open Source Code for the Lattice Boltzmann Method? I just start to learn the Lattice Boltzmann Method and I need a code for beginnners. Plaese help me if you can.

Thank you very much. I am working on fluid flow and heat transfer.

I am trying to simulate the flow over flat plate using LBM , did somebody have something similar to this case ?
thanks

You can chech out www.palabos.org. It offers open sourced LB code.

If you are using palabos, find the example of poiseuille flow, and just change the boundary condition. Hope it's helpful.

I have developed a 2D lattice Boltzman solver for my Master Thesis, it has a CGNS mesh reading and so far supports the single, two and multiple relaxation time scheme for the collision operator, the D2Q9 speed model and Zou/He boundary conditions (and the simplified bounce back as well). It comes with a text based user interface including some sort of tutorial mode to help the user to get familiar with the solver or it can be launched from input files. I have tested and validated it against standard test cases (channel, lid driven cavity, backward facing step, sudden expansion, cylinder) and works well with any 2D structured mesh.

If you are interested in it, please message me. I can also give you a copy of my thesis which describes the LBM in its essence and also covers heat transfer + it has a very simple, striped down version of a lid driven cavity to help understand the LBM proceedure.
