Dear all
I wonder if someone can help me in defining the best mesh scheme in the unsteady transient modeling. My model is basically a sphere travelling along the center line of a horizontal pipe filled with water. So, what mesh method and sizing configuration would you recommend me to use? Regards, |

What turbulence model? DNS, LES, and k-eps models have very different meshing requirements.

K-eps is the easiest to mesh because you are not resolving turbulent structures. Just read up on y+ requirements on your grid spacing, etc:
http://www.computationalfluiddynamic...-requirements/ You might review their many other tips and tricks, as it seems you are new to this area. |
