I am a final year B Tech Aerospace student interested in taking computational aeroacoustics as the topic for end sem project. I have studied the lighthill's analogy and FW-H formulation, and solved acoustic field from some low mach number flows. Can someone give me an idea in choosing the topic from here onwards which might results in some publishable work?

the frontiers of researchers in aeroacustic computation is in solving the full eqaution fields in DNS/LES formulations |

I have seen papers on noise prediction for an airfoil, free jets using LES.I was thinking of LES but in that also what kind of problem should i deal with?

for the hot-topics have a look to the books of Sagaut, also the reports of the CTR at Stanford are useful

I would probably go with lattice-boltzmann methods
