mesh requirements!

hi all! i am a new entrant into the CFD.
could somebody please explain me the criteria for selection of the meshing element? and what are the properties of the element and the mesh, we must check out to declare a mesh is good for analysis? thanks in advance!.....raja |

Raja,
Since you are new to CFD, go to this link and download their pdf file on best practices: https://pronet.wsatkins.co.uk/marnet...nes/guide.html Although some is specific to the marine industry, most comes from the ERCOFTAC Best Practice Guidelines, which cost 100 euros. You will find it to be an excellant guide on mesh size, mesh quality, turbulence model selection, etc. Tom |
