Temperature, Pressure Limited + numerical error

Hi,
Can anyone help with the following: I get an error message that says: Temperature limited to 1.000000e+00 and pressure is limited to 1.000000e+00 in XXXXXX cells etc as well as Error: FLOAT: invalid argument [1]: wrong type [not a number] Error Object: nan in the error log. Any ideas how to get around that? I am trying under-relaxation at the moment. Michael |

What code gives these messages?
What kind of problem (compressible, incompressible flow)? Your questions have MANY answers until you spcify a finite problem. |

Appreciated, but it is often the case that people have general advice on these standard errors if they have seen them before.
Here's some more info: Fluent 6.3 3d -t4 compressible flow segregated solver conjugate heat transfer problem (heat inputs defined, other boundaries fixed at ambient temperature to take heat away) pressure inlet, pressure outlet and translational periodic boundary conditions defined. Mesh size ~ 6million cells. Tetraheral mesh. thnx |

Good.
Now the folks who are really into Fluent can help. I'm not in that class, but I do expect you'll get the answers you need. |

Check your physics inputs. I had that in Star-CCM+ and realised I had set the temperature as 30K rather than 30C.
