The stability criterion for the upwind version of MacCormicks scheme (Beam & Warming81) is degined as
fabs(lambda+/-)delta_t/delta_x < 1 where lambda+/- is the positive and negative eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix. Is there a similar condition for the implicit flux splitting scheme(Beam & Warming81) becausemy programs seemes to prefer smaller timesteps than the one defined above. |
