i am about to undertake my final year degree project in which i will be modelling the airflow through an inlet restrictor on a motorbike engine. the outcome of this project will be used on our colleges formula student (formula sae in the usa) car. i have little knowledge in this area and will be using the cfd package that is within the ideas package. any help or guidance (e.g. wether this package is appropriate or beginer advice) would be greatly appreciated. the modelling will be of a 20mm circular restrictor with inlet nozzle and diffuser, in an effort to minimise airflow lost due to turbulance, if this proves easier than anticipated(which i doubt!) this will probably be expanded to cover airflow through airfilter and throttle. please feel free to email me direct at michael_ede@usa.net
