Hi,

I am using ANSYS fluent to run a simulation of flow characteristics inside a pump sump. Now there was a case, in which I was getting the error, Turbulent Viscosity ratio limited to 1+e5.

Now I saw the zones which had issues wrt high Turbulence viscosity ratio, and remeshed them and brought the max skewness to less than 0.85 which is acceptable standards I guess. And it worked as the warning went away, but after like 3000 odd iterations, the solution blows out again.

I changed the Under-relax factors, and now the solution seems to be converging well. But I just want to know if this is the correct approach for redressing an issue such as this. And what are my other alternatives?

Is wall y pluses a cause of concern for me?

Thanks,
Peetak
