Do RANS simulation overpredict maximum Cp?

Hi,
I have an important doubt about the correctness of a RANS simulation and I really need your help. Given an inviscid flow of a perfect gas with freestream Mach number M_inf, the maximum possible value of Cp is reached at a stagnation point and it is: Cp_stagnation = 2/(gamma*M_inf^2)*((1+((gamma-1)/2)*M_inf^2)^(gamma/(gamma-1))-1) I have a RANS simulation which predicts a slightly higher Cp_stagnation. Is it possible? I think that viscosity should decrease the pressure recovery. What do you think? Best regards, Sergio |
