New Design for Valves using CFD

Hi all,
We have started to study valve shape different than usual on static port flow analysis using an open source CFD code. We already generated a patent and a possible improvment of flow, tumble and swirl by slightly altering the shape of the intake and exhaust valves. The manufacture of those new valves does not pose an issue from the CAD to the tooling shop. We plan to do the next step: running cold flow with moving mesh and thermal stress analysis. Which of the following software would you recommend for moving mesh and thermal stresses on the new design: fluent, star-cd, kiva, vectis? (other...) Thanks in advance, |

STAR-CD is pretty much the industry standard tool for IC engine analysis, specifically the es-ice plugin
