I have noticed that a number of solver do not include the terms expressing the work of the viscous forces in the energy equations. I suppose this is a correct approximation in some specific cases. Can anybody suggest me when this is valis (clearly I am talking about the viscous Navier-Stokes equations ...)

To add to the above query, can anyone tell me that when you enable energy equation, are things like pressure work and kinetic energy term included in the energy equation or not?
