Haemodynamics : Flow through Aorta

I'm simulating blood flow through Aorta. For starters, I've modeled the flow to be typical Bernoulli's flow. But I'm in a dilemma whether to consider or neglect the effect of the potential energy terms. Please help.. Thanks in advance. l
