What is MacCormack scheme?

Is it a discretization scheme line Central Difference or a method like SIMPLE?

Its predictor correcot scheme. I would like to suggest you book by andernson jr for indepth review.

Depending on the application you are working with you can find maccormack schemes which are lower order or higher order.For recent work in maccormack schemes look for papers by Hixon and Turkel.
