hello everyone, i have a problem about y plus in turbulent flow,
i'm trying to resolve turbulent flow with "STANDARD WALL FUNCTIONS", later, the results will be validated with experimental results the rules for y plus with "STANDARD WALL FUNCTIONS" must be 30 < Y plus < 60, but when i get y plus with range 30 - 60 i have big error after validated, if range of y plus fulfilled, what the results are definitely correct? i used standard k-epsilon model thanks for the help |

How many cells do you place within the boundary layer?
Do you know the thickness of your boundary layer? Guidelines suggest that 8-10 cells should be placed within the boundary layer typically yPlus from 20 to 200. I suggest you have a look at Best Practice Guidelines by ERCOFTAC. |

thank you hrvig and thanks for your suggest
is that guidelines for FLUENT ? i didn't see cells in the boundary layer, in near wall, i added mesh with "inflation" with maximum layer => 5 |
