I have been posed with a problem of clearing an transport aircraft( M=.8) for buffeting with instalation of a radome on its fuselage structure[ it is elevated from fuselage contour not more than 8 inches(200mm)] from certification authorities.
I have extensive theoretical background in aerodynmics, static and dynamic structural analysis and aeroelasticity. I am beginer to CFD but well aware of its theoretical aspects. I have not used CFD codes myself but I can get assistance from collegues who use CFD codes. I request the experts in CFD field to shed some light on how to go about this problem regarding modelling, type of analysis to be performed and the significant aspects of output interpretation. |
