Hello,
I have generated some tubular hydrofoil designs using Google Sketchup. They are 3 inches long, and are to operate in seawater at 7 mph. I believe the Reynolds number would be 225,000. I can export these designs from Sketchup as various file types. I would like to understand how lift, drag, and center of pressure vary with different AOAs, in both pitch and yaw. These tubular hydrofoils are not quite cylindrically symmetric. Can anyone recommend freeware, and the beginnings of a protocol, for performing these analyses? Humbly, Andrei W. Konradi |
