Vertex based v.s. Cell center based FVM on resolving boundary layer separation

Hi,
Shall I choose vertex based or cell center based FVM algorithm to better resolve the boundary layer separation because of the reverse pressure, e.g. airfoil aerodynamics? Any reason about that?
