Solid-body Swirl with k-eps Turbulence Model

Hi everybody,
I am currently doing some validation work before I will do some transient in-cylinder engine-calculations. After checking the convection-and diffusion-terms in my CFD-code, I want to check the Source and Sink terms of my turbulence equations. Testing the Dissipation term is pretty easy, because if I have zero velocties everywhere, the intial turbulence just decays. You can even derive an exact solution for this case. Testing the production terms in the k-eps-equations seem to be more difficult. One example I could think of, would be the decay of turbulence and momentum in a cylinder initialized with a solid-body velocity-field and uniform distributed turbulence quantities. Does anybody know about papers or publications regarding this testcase? Regards, Werner |
