I'm simulating evaporation in a tube.
Now, I have a problem with the post processing. I want to take a volume average of the liquid volume fraction in a part of my tube (say between 4 and 5m). How can I accomplish this? Is it also possible to make a XY plot where the length of my tube is on the X-axis while on the Y-axis is the area-weigthed-average of the liquid volume fraction? thanks, Jan |

I don't know whether you are using some commercial code or you have your own code. If its a finite volume technique, then you can sum-up the multiplication of your individual cells' liquid volume fraction with the cell volume and then divide it by complete volume in your region of concern(4 -5m).
I hope that is what you mean by "volume average". Similar way, X-Y plotting also should be feasible. |
