Dear friends,
Recently, I've been studying on Finite Volume method. So, I'm very inexperienced in this subject. I need to understand the flux splitting in FV method for the convective fluxes in cylindrical coordinates. Governing equations are in an integral form and flow is compressible. So, when you look at the equations, you don't see a coordinate dependence at the very first stage (you see only volume and surface integrals). I think coordinate system will come into play when calculating the fluxes at each surface of a cylindrical volume element. At this stage, my question is this. How can I use Roe Scheme in cylindrical coordinates? Will it be different than using it in a cartesian system? Also, I'd like to use MUSCL scheme when calculating left and right states. Do I need to modify the MUSCL scheme for cylindrical coordinates? Or can I directly use Roe & MUSCL schemes as they're described in a textbook for a cartesian system. Kind Regards |
