Anja, no one but you should answer questions about your own motivations. Why ask people to give you reasons or excuses for your own actions, intentions, and interests? You are the one looking for an industrial job, and you should know why. You are doing a PhD, and you'd better know why. What do you need to know from us? Some better answers (even though they'd be wrong) because you feel your own answers aren't good enough? Nonsense. If someone asks me such a question, I simply tell them the truth, not what I think they'd be pleased to hear.

Industrial applications give lot of technological exposure and day-to-day challenge. One can use his research expereince for applying on practical gorund. This definitely will enhance the efficiency.

This answer always goes down well:
I am looking for the opportunity to work in a position where I can get by doing the minimum work and rely on the intelligence, hard work and enthuisiasm of my team-mates rather than an anonymous internet forum to progress my career. |
