Default arc based TFI smoothing?

Hi,

i'm using arc based TFI to deform structured grids. it works very well for c-grid. however, if used on a grid which is initially cartesian, i find that the resulting grid is not as smooth.

does anyone have a good reference on some algorithm to smoothen the grids after TFI deformation?

Thanks!
