Yeah I have heard that too, apparently neither CFX or Fluent sales guys have a clue whats going on. Word on the grapevine was that the only reason Ansys bought fluent was to stop DSS getting their hands on it, if it wasnt for their interest I think Ansys wouldnt have bothered.
Big oportunity for the other big codes (CD-adapco, BRN, Flowmerics etc) to take a chunk of both Fluent's and CFX's market share. After all who wants to invest a pile of money in one of two codes with an indeterminate future! |
