number of nodes on an edge in ICEM CFD

I wonder if anyone have had this probem before :
I can't put more than 1000 nodes on an edge in «edge parameters». When I put 1001, the refined geometry disapears. At first, I thaught it was just a display problem and that the mesh existed without being displayed. But the exportation to CFX had the same problem, the part just disapeared. Now, is there a number of nodes limit somewhere that I could level up. Thanks a lot! |

I had the same problem and there is no way to level up this number. You have to divide your geometry into several blocks. As far as I remember you should be able to set 1000 nodes per block-edge. Anyway: have you installed all SP1? It's possible that this bug is fixed in the meantime.

Thank you Patrick, indeed I had to split the edge.
