Greetings everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Using the finite volume method and the help of sample code from Michael Moor (fellow cfd online poster), i have written a matlab 2-D, staggered grid fluid flow solver based on the SIMPLE method. Upon modification of the sample code (boundary conditions, grid generation to remove unused nodes, post processing) something seem to be not entirely correct.
I'm fairly certain my actual CFD "guts" (momentum and pressure codes) is correct but for some reason when I try to benchmark against lid driven cavity flow, I am not getting the correct flow pattern. I've been debugging and going over my code for a month or so and I am just not seeing the error, of course it might be because it's my program and I might be biased into thinking it's correct. Hence, I think maybe something is wrong in my grid generation code. I am hoping someone out there without a biased eye might be able to see my error in the code. I would greatly appreciate anyone out there looking over my code and seeing if anyone can spot where I went wrong. I will gladly share the code with anyone who responds and is interested in helping but I prefer not to post on the main page. Thanks again and I appreciate your help. |

Hi Hoggs17, i am a postgraduate student majoring in CFD. I am a learner but my tutor is quite professional, you may sent me your code to andy20110920@hotmail.com and i'll have him help debugging your code.
best wishes |

Have any of you been able to look at the code and get an idea of where I might have gone wrong? I have been sidetracked with other projects as of recent, hoping to get back to my CFD coding soon though. Thanks again guys!
