Hi,
I would like to get some advice from the CFD community: What kind of CFD studies can be done to design/optimize a slow pyrolysis reactor? Maybe the cold flow hydrodynamics inside the reactor to quantify the residence time distribution? Or the heat transfer between the heat carrier and the reactor? It would be great to read your comments or your suggestions. Thank you very much! Jeremie |

Hi Jeremie,
I have exactly the same problem than you. I need to design (model and take dimensions) a reactor for slow pyrolysis of biomass in order to make biochar. Did you get some advice in how make this design using CFD? Is it possible and is it the best way to perform the model? Thanks, |
