Hi,
I would like to know your oppinion. I am investigating a 2D dump combustor. (It is a very easy geometry. The fluid enters a channel at left side. After a few centimeters the flow has to cope with a sudden channel-expansion, which was realized as a chair). My investigations are steady and I want to test several turbulence modells. Because of the bad aerodynamic conture the creation of a shear flow is assumable! 1. Using a standard k-eps-modell, what would you expect for the quantities k and eps in this environment? Since k is addicted to u'v' it should rise to maximum in the shear flow (that's my opinion.) 2. Where would you expect eps (dissipation rate or destruction) to reach its maximum? 3. Finally, I would be very pleased if you could refer me to any good literature, so I can validate my investigations. thanks a lot. |
