Dear Friends,
I am implementing Algebraic Turbulence Model (B-L) on purely unstructured meshes. For eddy.vis calculation, I created local background structured meshes. Flow quantities are interpolated from unstructured mesh to all turbulent mesh stations. The things related to wall are clear. My questions are standing in wake region.. Make assumption:: Flow over Airfoil, AoA = 0 degree, so wake boundary line (x>=1 and y=0) and wake centerline are same. We know the meaning of wake centreline (U is min of all and Vorti =0). I created two sets of wake streamlines. one set is above the wake centreline and other is below. To calculate law of the wake y+, we need to calculate shear stress and density at all wake centerline points. In our case, we have to calculate the shear stress(Nor. Vel. Gra) for both top and bot of centerline. Plz. Give me some suggestions Reg. Vel. Gra(at wake centerline top and bottom) calculation. NOTE:: For pure Unstructed mesh. Thanks in Advance Regards Mohamed |

I'm afraid that I can't give you any hands-on advice for this. However, I would like to ask you that if you solve this implementation issue please take the time to also write something about it in CFD-Wiki here:
http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Baldwin-Lomax_model We already have a fairly complete description of the Baldwin-Lomax model there but we are lacking this type implementation specific advice. |
