With a master degree in mechanical engineering (thermo-fluid) and a background in computer programming, and teaching in department of mechanical engineering of Islamic Azad University (Iran), I may be a candidate to consider for the PhD program student in mechanical engineering. My objective is to pursue my research interests in mechanical engineering. I am extensively interested in studying mechanical phenomenon, with emphasis on energy and heat transfer. To this, add my enthusiasm in implementing energy concepts in reality aimed at experimental verification of theoretical results. A challenging problem in the field of energy conversion could be an ideal research topic.
I meet the qualifications for this position. I received my BSc in mechanical engineering (thermo-fluid) in Amir-Kabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and Master of Engineering in energy conversion engineering from Shahid Bahonar University in November 2002. An important element of my research work during undergraduate and graduate degree has been to acquire theoretical and practical skills (I performed more than 100 tests during my bachelor last year project on fluidized bed dryer). I am very enthusiastic about a career in energy development and feel that I have a lot to offer. The Master's work involved extensive programming, as I had to develop a CFD code (based on TEACH code) to simulation of natural gas combustion in an axi-symmetric furnace. I feel doing a Master's degree is a good preparation for a PhD study in the desired field. Working in faculty of engineering of Islamic Azad University as a lecturer is a good experience for me to find the challenge of studying and teaching in engineering field. So I decided to continue my academic live during a PhD program. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, R. Sabbagh |
