Default question for DES(RANS/LES) and wall function

dear all

1. are the quantities of flow parameters solved from hybrid RANS/LES mean value or instantaneous?

2. when wall function is used, how to set the boundary conditions. does the first node instead the wall boundary? if so, how to specify the pressure, density, and velocity U,V,W at the first node? how to use the Log law? please tell me or recomend some refference about it. thanks.
