we are doing a project on biomass gasification and we want to do the combustion analysis using fluent.please guide us how to do perform that.

itis better to do it by combustion professional codes. fluent is not appropriate for your aim and it will be very time consuming and have unrealistic results. you can do your analysis by kiva.

Biomass gasification is a large topic - what are you trying to achieve? I have used Fluent for biomass combustion/gasification since the mid-80's. The first modelling work we did was with using Fluent as the base, but the customization work for biomass-specific combustion took three Ph.D. theses.

For anything useful, you should be prepared to write some of your own code, which is not a trivial thing.

You would be best to Google CFD models for biomass gasification or combustion. You might get some hits on my company or you may well find links to better sources. Good luck.

i have been working for biomass gasification at osmania university for past 5 years and also i am doing analysis using fluent, but i am still standing at ground zero in attempting to write a proper code, better experimentally make observations and try to correlate with emperical relations. as suggested if u wish to go for research on biomass gaasification with fluent better quit and opt for combustion analysis, wishing you good luck
