Hi.
Can you help me find some literature regarding the right choice of mesh types? I'm up to do a simulation of a non-newtonian fluid flowing laminar in a straight pipe. But I don't know which mesh type is most decent for my simulation (tetra hexa prism). Can you give me a rule of thumb or a link to some useful articles? |

The rule of thumb is quite simple here: Hex is ALWAYS better than Tet regarding accuracy and computational cost.
The only problem is that complex geometries cannot always be meshed entirely with hex elements. |

As its the straight and simple geometry its better to use hexahedral (structured) mesh.
