Are you asking about development of CFD (i.e. making CFD methods more accurate/faster) or use of CFD as a design tool (i.e. apply simulations to improve a design)?
ANSYS has a large amount of people working to develop CFD methods. Also any other company that sells software: (http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Codes#Commercial_codes) As for a design tool, companies who sell products that highly depend on flow / heat transfer will have teams of people who are experts in CFD analysis. A few examples would be aircraft, steam/gas turbine, and pipeline (flow assurance) companies. |
